Low carb sauces

So instead of including sauces in every recipe I felt it would be easier to make one all inclusive low carb sauce post, as they come.. I may add and edit as time goes on 

Carbonara, - I use this frequently on Pizza - to me it tastes a little like lasagne.


  • 125grams Grated Parmesan

  • 6 Eggs

  • 80ml unsweetened real cream

  • 1tsp olive oil 

  • Salt, pepper, garlic - to taste

Method: Everything into the bowl, into a saucepan on low heat and gently cook until it all comes together and is piping hot. If keeping for later use, allow it to cool down before placing it in the fridge 

Habanero Pesto


  • 5 cups fresh Basil 

  • 1 head of garlic - mince it 

  • 1/3 cup olive oil

  • 1/3 cup Parmesan 

  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds toasted

  • 1-3 Habaneros - Be careful with this - I love the heat but that third habanero is fiery, 1 Habanero if you like a bit of heat but nothing too crazy - and 2 is a pretty fiery medium 

Method: Basil and Garlic into the blender first once theyre well mixed add in everything else until you have a paste like texture, store in the fridge.
